Acne foods are those that can help prevent, control or treat the disease. Your skin relies on nutrition and therefore developing this disease may be just a sign that something is a miss on the inside. Drinking plenty of water, at least 8 glasses a day is important. Water is essential because it is used to carry waste materials out of your body. Eating foods rich in zinc will also help keep the disease at bay. Zinc is an antibacterial agent and is a necessary element in the sebaceous glands.
Adults tend to consume more coffee as compared to teenagers. The caffeine in the coffee triggers the production of cortisol, which is sometimes referred to as the stress hormone. Stress can lead to the disease. Other acne foods are those rich in carbohydrates and low in glycemic.
